Police to be at Halifax schools after unspecified threats made against them

HALIFAX — Police say they will be present at three schools in Halifax today after unspecified threats were made against them.

Officers say they will be at Caledonia Junior High School, Rocky Lake Junior High School and Ian Forsyth Elementary as a precaution.

A police statement says they were notified of the threats at about 10 a.m. Wednesday and are investigating.

They say they do not believe students are at risk and school closures were not necessary.
