Central Alberta Sting AA Ringettte Update

The Central Alberta Sting U19AA ringette team won three of their four games in Regina’s Invitational Tournament this past weekend as they went on to finish fourth overall.

The Sting were edged 6-5 in the bronze medal game by the Buffalo Plains Grit. Goal scorers for the Sting were Emily LeMasuier, Hannah Morrison, Madison Pluister, McKenna Causey and Rachel Vandervlis.

The Central Alberta U16 AA Sting played back-to-back games against Edmonton Elite on Sunday.

Game one in Penhold saw Edmonton edge the Sting 7-6. Leah Desilets, Hanna Gill, Megan Grubb, Shaelynn Law, Carly Cherniak and Jada MacDonnell each scored for the Sting while Madison Kohut played between the pipes.

Game two later that afternoon at the Kinsmen Arena in Red Deer saw the Sting rebound for a 9-8 victory. Grubb and Gill each scored twice for the Sting with Law, MacDonnell, Sydney Schnoor and Hannah Murray each scoring once. Gracie Setters earned the victory in net.
