Four injured in crash on QE II Highway near Ponoka

Thankfully, no one was killed in a serious crash Saturday morning south of Ponoka.
The collision on the QE II Highway near the intersection at Highway 604 happened at about 9:45 a.m.
RCMP say a passenger van carrying four occupants blew a tire and lost control, colliding with a dump truck before rolling.
All four of the occupants of the van were treated for injuries, one was transported to Ponoka Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries and a child was flown by STARS in serious but non-life threatening condition to the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. Two others suffered minor injuries while the driver of the dump truck was not injured.
