Bashaw and Mirror soon to be connected with new waterline

Ground has been broken on the latest portion of the Highway 12/21 Regional Waterline.

The segment, which represents the fifth phase of the commission's system, will connect Mirror and Bashaw to what is now an 84 kilometre long line.

Red Deer man returns from heart surgery to run Woody's Marathon

Competitors from around the world will run in Sunday’s Woody’s Marathon in Red Deer.

However, for one local man, the half-marathon is his long-awaited comeback from an immobilizing operation.

A lucky Red Deerian drove away in a new Roadster convertible from Gord Scott Nissan on Friday morning.
 
Local dentist Shauna Walsh won a four-month lease for the car by raising funds for last weekend's Red Deer Primary Care Network Fun Run.
