EDMONTON- Negotiations that started in December have led to a tentative agreement on a new deal between Alberta Health and the Alberta Medical Association.
Details have not been released because the agreement still needs to be ratified by both sides.
The association says in a release that it addresses the government’s budgetary concerns and recognizes the contributions of the province’s doctors.
The package will be discussed at an AMA board of directors meeting on May 3 prior to the package being sent to members for an expected vote.
