The Addams Family comes to the Memorial Centre

Mar 14, 2018 | 11:31 AM

Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday and the rest of the Addams gang are coming to a stage near you.

For three days only beginning Thursday, Hunting Hills High School presents The Addams Family Musical at the Memorial Centre. Based on the Broadway musical, the story focuses on Wednesday, who’s grown up and got a boyfriend.

Chaos ensues when the families meet.

Shows run Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. with a special matinée performance Saturday at noon.

Students have been working tirelessly for six months to prepare this show for you, according to Izzy Deutscher, who plays Wednesday Addams.

“Last year was our old drama teacher’s last year at Hunting Hills and it was his last pick, so it’s a show that really suits his style and he really wanted to see it done, and he’s coming back to watch this year,” she notes.

Tickets are $10 for students with valid RDPSD ID and $15 for adults, both at the Hunting Hills bookstore or at the door (cash only). They can also be reserved by emailing kiel.fredrickson@rdpsd.ab.ca.

For the Friday night performance, there is a dinner and theatre option available for $30.
