Brazeau County will launch a new app today for county residents to download allowing access to a wide vareity of feautures, from being able to to report issues to viewing county news.

The Brazeau County App is free and lets people call a number of county phone numbers, report road, bylaw, weed or property problems and use the public webmap.

Users can also view county news, events, alerts and Alberta Emergency Alerts on the app.

The program has been in the works since the summer of 2017, and was developed by SMB Apps at a cost of nearly $3,900. Analytics data will be collected and reported each quarter to council to see how many people are actively using the software.

The app is available for download in the Google Play and Apple App store.
