Stettler RCMP lay stolen vehicle & drug charges

STETTLER- On November 10, RCMP were notified by the owner of a stolen vehicle that it had been located at a rural location northeast of Stettler.

Officers arrived on scene and arrested a man in connection with the vehicle’s theft.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the suspect was also in possession of a controlled substance and was involved in a variety of other property offences in connection to unlocked vehicles the previous evening.

Jyles Uschenko, 27, is facing charges of theft, theft of a vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.

Uschenko appears in court on November 23.

RCMP would like to remind motorists to secure their vehicles when they’re unoccupied and to remove any valuables from inside including wallets/purses/keys to the vehicle/laptops/tablets etc.
