Red Deer – Lacombe MP Blaine Calkins wants to hear from constituents regarding tax changes being proposed by the federal government.

“As you may have heard, these changes will have adverse effects for small businesses, farms, and professionals across the country,” Calkins says in a release.

Calkins is hosting a public consultation next week in Blackfalds.

Tax accountants and tax lawyers will be on hand to help understand and explain the technical aspects of what is being proposed.

The public consultation takes place Wednesday, September 13 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Blackfalds Community Centre ( 4810 Womacks Road).

Those wishing to attend are encouraged to RSVP by emailing [email protected], or by calling 587-621-0020 or 1-800-665-0865.

Red Deer – Mountain View Earl Dreeshen hosted a public consultation discussing the proposed tax changes earlier this week.
