Edmonton hit with heavy rain

EDMONTON- A rainstorm in Edmonton has flooded some areas in the south and east parts of the city.

The city reports that some intersections were under water when the storm hit yesterday afternoon and that manhole covers were dislodged.

A portion of an intersection of the Whitemud freeway also experienced some flooding.

The city’s electric utility also responded to a number of power outages.
