Red Deer RCMP have made an arrest in connection to a home invasion last month in Morrisroe.

The home invasion sent one man to hospital with serious injuries to one of his hands.

On May 13, RCMP on patrol in Riverside Meadows located a suspicious truck in an alley. They determined the Dodge Ram had been stolen out of Red Deer the same day.

The male driver gave police a fake name, but they figured out he was actually 19-year-old Jacob Courtemanche. RCMP had issued a warrant for his arrest following the home invasion.

Courtemanche faces counts of aggravated assault, robbery, and assault wth a weapon in relation to the home invasion. He also incurred charges of taking a motor vehicle without consent and resisting a peace officer during his arrest.

Courtemanche will appear in court in Red Deer on May 29.

Red Deer RCMP continue to investigate the home invasion. If you have information about this crime, contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or report it online at www.tipsubmit.com.
