Alberta Crop Report: August 7
Spring cereals have reached early-to-late milk development in the central Alberta region.
That’s according to the latest Alberta Crop Report from Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) and the Government of Alberta.
The report indicates crop conditions for major crops are currently rated as six per cent poor, 25 per cent fair, 65 per cent good and five per cent excellent.
Sub-surface moisture is 10 per cent poor, 40 per cent fair, 41 per cent good, seven per cent excellent, and two per cent excessive. Tame hay conditions are reported as six per cent poor, 39 per cent fair, 56 per cent good, and zero per cent excellent.
