RDC shows off suite from new student residence
The new student residence at Red Deer College is described as striking a balance between desired privacy and social interaction.
The $18 million, 5-storey facility is set to open in time for the 2019 Canada Winter Games next February and will be home to a portion of the 3600 athletes coming to Red Deer for the event.
On Wednesday, Minister of Advanced Education Marlin Schmidt and RDC President and CEO Joel Ward toured a life-sized mock-up of one of the bachelor suites.
Trent Rix, RDC’s Director of Ancillary and Sport Services said the 145 units were designed with student input.
