Hart named Player of the Year at WHL Awards
He missed half the season due to a case of mono and a trip to the World Juniors, but that didn’t stop Connor Hart from being named WHL Player of the Year.
The superstar goaltender for the Everett Silvertips claimed the league’s top player honour Wednesday at the WHL Awards luncheon at the Sheraton hotel in Red Deer.
The Sherwood Park native appeared in only 41 regular season games. But in those games he posted a superlative 36-6-1-3 record, 1.60 goals against average, .947 save percentage and seven shutouts.
