Jail time for man on numerous firearm charges
A 28-year-old man who pointed a firearm at several people back in March will spend some time behind bars.
Richard Chip Francoeur was charged with possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to public peace, five firearms offences, possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
On March 27, 2017 Mounties responded to a local residence where there was a report of a man with a firearm and that he was allegedly pointing it at several people.
When officers arrived, five individuals were taken into custody and a number of firearms were discovered. Police later executed a search warrant at the same home, which is when they found a quantity of drugs.
