Piper Creek Restoration Agriculture Project and ReThink Red Deer hosting Solstice Planting Party
Get ready for the longest day of the year and join one of Canada’s largest pollinator garden and food forest plantings!
Thanks to grant support from Tree Canada / Arbres Canada and TELUS, we still have cherry-plums, plumcots, and shipovas to plant, among dozens of pollinator plants at the Piper Creek Restoration Agriculture Project in south Red Deer.
Both days (June 21 and 22) run 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Pollinator Walk and Talk led by Cynthia Pohl on the evening of the 22nd.
Refreshments and tools will be provided but you are encouraged to bring your own – please label your tools and dress for the weather.
