Come explore Ponoka’s annual Wellness Fair on May 16 from 3 – 7 p.m. at the Kinsmen Community Centre.

Browse through about 20 booths displaying information, services and programs that promote physical and mental health, and grab a seat at the Speakers Stage where the following guests will share advice and information on a range of wellness-related topics:.

3:30-4:00 pm – Ron Schafer (Burman University Gym)
4:15-4:45 pm – Merv Leibel (AHS Dietitian)
5:00-5:30 pm – Cal David (Ponoka Physiotherapy – GLAD)
5:45-6:15 pm – Lindsey Kaupp (E-Motion Therapy)
6:30-7:00 pm – Melodie Woods (World Financial Group “How Money Works”)

The Wellness Fair is hosted by the Town of Ponoka. Recreation staff at the Town booth will be promoting upcoming community events and programs happening this summer in Ponoka, including Trail Awareness Day on June 3 – a family-friendly geo-caching and scavenger hunt event being held in the
river valley to raise awareness of the Diamond Willow Trail System in Ponoka.

Other summer events that will be promoted at the Town booth include Canada Day activities on July 1 in Lion’s Centennial Park followed by Town-sponsored fireworks at the Stampede Grounds, and Ponoka Day in the Park on August 24 which will once again feature an outdoor movie, a community BBQ and
many other fun, family-friendly activities and games. The Town will be recruiting volunteers for these summer events at the Wellness Fair.

There will be door prizes handed out at the Wellness Fair and a food booth with snacks and refreshments available for sale.
