Jann Arden to kick-off Lending Cupboard’s 1st Annual Winter Luncheon

An Alberta singer-songwriter appointed a Member of the Order of Canada last year will help the Lending Cupboard in Red Deer kick-off its first Annual Winter Luncheon next month.

Multi Juno Award winner Jann Arden is expected to share with the audience her journey with her mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s and be the featured speaker at the Lending Cupboard’s 1st Annual Winter Luncheon on January 28 at the Sheraton Hotel in Red Deer.

Since 2006, officials say The Lending Cupboard has been serving people of central Alberta with the loan of medical equipment and daily living aids to enhance their quality of life by maintaining their mobility, independence and dignity.

In 2017/18, officials say TLC lent out 17,000 pieces of equipment to upwards of 10,000 clients, with the assistance of 11,000 volunteers hours.

Tickets for the event are $100 for an individual ticket and for the first 25 table purchases (8 tickets together), a reduced cost of $750.

According to Executive Director Dawna Morey, ticket sales are going well with 114 tickets sold so far and of those, five of 25 early bird tables.
