Queens Hockey hosting ‘Pink in the Rink’ Saturday

The RDC Hockey Queens will continue to support community-building and the fight against women’s cancer with the third annual Pink in the Rink fundraiser, as they host the Olds College Broncos this Saturday, Oct. 20.

Game time at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre is 7 p.m. All funds raised at this event will go towards the Alberta Cancer Foundation in support of the Central Alberta Cancer Centre in Red Deer.

There are no online ticket purchases for this specific game. For $10, hockey fans will receive a pink scarf or mitts, as supplies last, to show for entry.

Last year, 892 supporters attended the game between the RDC Queens and MacEwan University Griffins at the Enmax Centrium, setting an ACAC Women’s Hockey attendance record. With the help of Scotiabank matching funds, a total of $21,825 was raised to support the École Barrie Wilson Elementary School accessible playground project.
