Blackfalds open house to detail facilities plan

The Town of Blackfalds is hosting an Open House to present to residents the Civic Facilities Development Strategy and Master Plan.

The Open House goes this Wednesday, October 11 in the Servus Program Room at the Abbey Centre from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Town officials say the Blackfalds Civic Facilities Development Strategy and Master Plan is a combination of research, feedback and priorities (some of which is provided by both the Town and its residents) in order to determine what is important in regards to facilities for a predetermined number of years.

Residents are invited to the Open House to acquire more detail into what the Town of Blackfalds has for its priorities and will have a chance to give their feedback into the results.

The plan focuses on the following 10 areas: indoor ice surfaces, indoor aquatics, arts & culture programs & performance space, community gathering space, learning / library space, municipal government administrative space, Public Works operations spaces, Parks and Recreation operations spaces, Family and Community Support Services, protective / enforcement services.
