RCMP in Rocky Mountain House are investigating a drive-by shooting.

The incident occurred on Friday, Oct. 5 just before 8 p.m. in the area of 60 Avenue and 58 Street.

Witnesses say the male driver of a dark-coloured SUV got the attention of the victim and pointed a sawed-off shotgun out the window before firing at the other vehicle.

It's believed the SUV then fled the area.

Police continue to look for that vehicle and the man who fired the gun.

There is no additional risk to the public, RCMP adding that this was an isolated incident.
