Westerner Park announces departure of CEO

Sep 12, 2018 | 1:47 PM

Just two days after the Red Deer and District Chamber of Commerce announced the sudden departure of former CEO Robin Bobocel, Westerner Park has announced the immediate departure of its CEO Ben Antifaiff.

However, according to Damian Zapisocky, President and Board Chair of the Westerner Exposition Association, the two announcements this week are completely unrelated.

In a release issued Wednesday afternoon, Westerner Park officials say Board of Directors Vice-President Bradley Williams has agreed to take a leave of absence from the Board to assume the role of CEO on an interim basis.

“We want to acknowledge Ben’s contribution to Westerner Park, and the role he played in building our strategic plan and in helping to bring the Canadian Finals Rodeo to Red Deer,” says Damian Zapisocky, President and Board Chair of the Westerner Exposition Association, in a press release. “The Board is confident Williams’ business experience will ensure the stability of our organization as we prepare for both the Canadian Finals Rodeo and Agri-Trade.”
