2019 Canada Winter Games tickets on sale Monday

Tickets and passes to the largest multi-sport and cultural event in the country next year go on sale starting Monday.

Officials with the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer say those tickets and passes, including for the Opening and Closing ceremonies will be made available at early-bird rates starting September 10 at 10:00 a.m. by visiting canadagames.ca/2019/tickets.

Early-bird rates are available until October 15, 2018.

As for the event itself, it runs from February 19 until March 3 of 2019 and will feature Canada’s best young athletes competing in 19 different sports throughout the city of Red Deer and surrounding areas.

“Join us as we host the largest multi-sport and cultural event in Canada in 2019,” says Scott Robinson, Chief Executive Officer, 2019 Canada Winter Games Host Society, in a press release. “With so many sports and two incredible ceremonies, the Games offers something for everyone and we are pleased to offer a mix of passes and tickets for every budget.”

The 2019 Canada Winter Games will be the largest event to ever be held in Red Deer. It will feature over 150 events in 19 sports, a major arts and cultural festival and welcome up to 3,600 athletes, managers and coaches, including more than 100,000 spectators.
