Woman charged with Meth possession at O’Chiese First Nation

A woman is in custody after a significant amount of Methamphetamine was found in her possession while at the O’Chiese First Nation.
 
Rocky Mountain House RCMP pulled a vehicle over on O’Chiese First Nation at about 3 p.m. last Tuesday, Aug. 14 and arrested a female wanted on outstanding warrants.
 
After her arrest, police seized a large amount of Methamphetamine and drug trafficking paraphernalia from inside the vehicle.
 
Melvina Saskatchewan, 48, is facing multiple charges including Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of failure to comply with a condition of recognizance.
 
Saskatchewan is currently in custody and will appear in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on September 19.
