A search will continue this week for the body of an Edmonton-area man presumed dead after falling into the Brazeau Reservoir near Drayton Valley Friday morning.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP received a call around 4:30 a.m. Friday to the Brazeau Reservoir after a man fell over the edge after climbing up on the guard rail of the reservoir in the early hours of the morning.

Brazeau Regional Search and Rescue along with Clearwater County Fire, and Conservation Enforcement completed an extensive search of the reservoir and North Saskatchewan River throughout the weekend.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP said on Tuesday that another helicopter is planned to scour the North Saskatchewan River this week as well as more searches taking place near the reservoir’s turbines.
