CALGARY- The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is investigating an officer involved shooting in Calgary.
One person is in hospital.
Police say a suspected stolen vehicle that was spotted Thursday afternoon was tracked for about six hours before it eventually pulled into a southeast neighbourhood around 10:30 p.m.
Tactical unit members were trying to make an arrest when a second suspected stolen auto showed up at the scene.
Investigators say the situation escalated and an officer fired his gun, striking one person who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Two people are in custody and no officers were hurt.
