Body of missing teen found in Athabasca River

SLAVE LAKE- The body of a 17-year old boy who fell off a highway bridge into the Athabasca River has been found.

In early May, Slave Lake RCMP responded to a report that a person fell into the river.

A search was carried out the next day using boats, helicopters, drones and search teams along the banks of the river.

They weren’t able to find him and called off the search.
