Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA Devin Dreeshen weighs in on referendum vote on separation
A local Member of the Legislative Assembly continues to be tight-lipped about how he voted in the provincial referendum on separation.
Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA Devin Dreeshen failed to directly answer whether he voted for Alberta to remain a province or send the question of separation to a binding referendum.
Instead, Dreeshen, who’s also the Minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors, said he was happy to see so many Albertans vote in the referendum.
“Now, as a government, with this referendum being behind us, to be able to figure out what the next steps to advocate for Alberta are, whether it’s through judicial changes or through immigration issues coming forward to us,” he said. “There’s lots of work to be done, and session starts on Tuesday in Edmonton.”
