Red Deer RCMP conduct search warrant, respond to separate altercation

Red Deer RCMP are sharing that two incidents in the downtown area on Wednesday evening are unrelated.

RCMP first responded, and quite heavily, around 8 p.m. to an altercation that remains under investigation.

Shortly after, Red Deer Mounties, with assistance from the Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a private home. That investigation is also ongoing.

Both incidents occurred at or near the Hillside apartment building, which sits on the very edge of downtown, adjacent to the South Hill neighbourhood.
