Grade 8s take part in tech camp at RDP

Grade 8 students from Red Deer Public’s Normandeau School and Escuela Vista Grande recently had the chance to have some hands-on fun at technology camp.

The camp, called Drive the Circuit, took place at Red Deer Polytechnic, and was the first of the year for the Central Alberta Collegiate Institute (CACI).

Students spent the day assembling motorized cars, applying their skills in electrical circuits and soldering while using a variety of tools to bring their projects to life, according to the school division.

“Opportunities like this allow students to discover what they enjoy while learning skills they can apply in so many different areas,” said Renee Rudolph, Careers Engagement Coordinator with Red Deer Public Schools.
