Lacombe man charged by ALERT with child sexual exploitation offences
A 35-year-old Lacombe man has been charged with child sexual exploitation offences following an investigation by the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT).
Lacombe’s Graham St. Thomas was arrested on Sept. 16 after ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation team and the Lacombe Police Service searched the man’s home. Police seized computers and an electronic device for forensic analysis.
ALERT’s ICE team began investigating in April 2026 after the FBI referred them to a Telegram user who was allegedly sharing child sexual exploitation materials on the app.
“The internet is borderless and, likewise, ICE agencies from across the globe routinely share information related to offenders with the goal of protecting children,” said Const. Mackenzie Jordan, ALERT, in a media release.
