Alberta Crop Report: August 14, 2026
The Central Region is expected to yield 23 per cent above its five-year average, according to the Alberta Crop Report, for conditions as of Aug. 14.
The Central also has the highest expected yield of barley, oats and dry peas, at 82, 92 and 47 bushels per acre, respectively.
Central has the second-highest crop rating at 70 per cent, below the South at 78 per cent.
The report also notes root maggots are reported as 11 per cent moderate for the Central, while gophers are posing a moderate issue as well.
