Inductee bios

Veronica Den Oudsten (Hometown: Lacombe) Two-time CIAU Player of the Year and two-time Canada West Player of the Year at University of Calgary; Canada West All-Star selection in all five of her seasons; Three-time conference champion; Won gold medal was named tournament MVP at 1988-89 national championship.

Leighann Doan Reimer (Hometown: Stettler) University of Calgary women’s basketball all-time leading scorer; CIAU Rookie of the Year in 1996-97; Four-time All-Canadian and two-time CIAU Player of the Year; CIAU Female Athlete of the Year in 2000-01; Member of Team Canada at FISU Games in 1999 and 2001 and Pan-Am Games in 2003.

Kelly Boucher (Hometown: Calgary) Four-time Canada West All-Star selection at University of Victoria; Represented Canada at Olympics in 1996 and 2000; Member of Canada’s silver-medal winning team at 1999 Pan-Am Games; First Canadian to play in the WNBA, with the Charlotte Sting during 1998 season.

Adut Bulgak (Hometown: Edmonton) Won gold with Team Alberta at 2009 Canada Games; NJCAA champion and Player of the Year at Trinity Valley College in 2013-14; Two-time All-ACC selection at Florida State University; Only Albertan ever picked in Round 1 of WNBA Draft, by New York in 2016; Played two years in the WNBA.

Jodi Evans (Hometown: Calgary) Won four straight conference titles from 1987-88 to 1990-91 and captured national championship in 1989-90 at University of Calgary; Four-time Canada West All-Star and two-time All Canadian; Canada West and CIAU Player of the Year in 1990-91; Represented Canada at 1996 Olympics.

Karla Karch (Hometown: Calgary) Won national championship in 1986-87 at University of Victoria; Canada West First Team All-Star and Second Team All-Canadian in 1987-88; Member of Canada’s World Championship teams in 1990 and 1994; Represented Canada at Olympic Games in 1996 and 2000; Played pro overseas.

Toni Kordic Gass (Hometown: Edmonton) Provincial 3A high school champion at Archbishop MacDonald in 1979-80; Four-time Canada West First Team All-Star and three-time All-Canadian selection at University of Alberta; Became first Albertan to compete in women’s basketball as an official Olympic sport, at 1984 Summer Games.

Shawna Molcak Kolaczek (Hometown: Cardston) Four-time Canada West First Team All-Star and three-time All-Canadian at University of Lethbridge; Canada West Player of the Year in 1988-89; Won bronze with Team Canada at 1991 FISU Games; Competed at 1994 World Championships and 1996 Olympics; Played several years of pro overseas.                                                                      

Katherine Plouffe (Hometown: Edmonton) Two-time high school provincial champ at Harry Ainlay; All-Big East First Team selection at Marquette University in 2013-14; Won gold with Team Canada at both Pan Am Games and FIBA Americas Championship in 2015; Two-time Olympian; Three-time FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series champ.

Michelle Plouffe (Hometown: Edmonton) Two-time high school provincial champ at Harry Ainlay; Two-Time All-Pac 12 Third Team selection at University of Utah; Won gold with Team Canada at both Pan Am Games and FIBA Americas Championship in 2015; Three-time Olympian; Two-time FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series champ.

Noel Robertson MacDonald (Hometown: Edmonton) Played six seasons with Edmonton Grads, winning championships at the provincial, national and international levels; All-time leading scorer in Grads history, averaging 13.8 points over 135 career games; Served as Grads team captain; Voted Canadian Press Female Athlete of the Year in 1983.
