Care for Newcomers hosts Sports Day this Thursday

All are welcome to a free Sports Day event this Thursday, hosted by Care for Newcomers.

The event is part of the Meet Me at the Park series, and will provide attendees the chance to try numerous Canadian summer sports.

It’s all taking place at the Eastview Estates Community Hall, from 1-4 p.m.

“This free, family-friendly event is open to everyone and will provide participants with the opportunity to try a variety of sports and activities at no cost, including basketball, baseball, street hockey, volleyball, and pickleball,” Care for Newcomers notes in a release.

“Additional activities will include face painting, Indigenous activities for younger children, hot dogs, snacks, and opportunities to connect with community members and organizations.”
