Westerner Park announced three new directors following the election of its 2026 board leadership at the annual general meeting.

As a result, Brad Dufresne was re-elected to the board for a three-year term and was elected president.

Westerner Park says Dufresne brings valuable experience, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to the organization’s mission.

In addition, Craig Lampard was elected vice president. He originally joined the board last year and contributed expertise and perspective, helping support Westerner Park’s continued growth and community impact.

The three new members elected to its board of directors are:

  • Peter Clow, Cognidyn Engineering & Design
  • Lindsey Engel, Red Deer Polytechnic
  • Kurtis Kooiker, Alberta Health Services

The organization says the new directors bring extensive experience across engineering, education, business, and community leadership.

“We are excited to welcome Peter, Lindsey, and Kurtis to the board and look forward to the knowledge and perspectives they will bring,” said Brad Dufresne, President of the Board. “At the same time, I am honoured to serve in this role and continue working alongside our dedicated Board, staff, volunteers, partners, and community stakeholders as we build on the momentum of recent years.”

Westerner Park’s board of directors plays a vital role in providing governance and strategic direction for the organization.
