Wolf Creek Public Schools has announced the appointment of three new assistant principals in schools within the division.

Chantele Broderson was named to the role at École James S. McCormick School (ÉJSMS), followed by Kaylene Reddekopp at Iron Ridge Elementary Campus, and Chelsea Williams at Ponoka Elementary School.

Broderson has been both a student and an educator within the division, and over the past four years, she has served as acting administrator at the school.

Broderson is currently completing the division’s Aspiring Leaders Program and, outside of education, is also a highly accomplished athlete, winning bronze at the 2017 World Junior Curling Championship.

“I am honoured to continue serving the ÉJSMS community in this new role,” said Broderson in a media release. “This school has been an important part of my life, and I look forward to continuing to support our students, staff, and families in a positive and caring learning environment.”

Meanwhile, Reddekopp has been a part of the WCPS leadership team for the past two years, serving as coordinator of education services and colony schools supervisor. She also began her teaching career within the division at Rimbey Elementary School.

Reddekopp holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Lethbridge and has also participated in the division’s Aspiring Leaders Program.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Iron Ridge Elementary Campus team,” said Reddekopp. “I look forward to working alongside staff, students, and families to continue building a positive and supportive learning environment where every student can succeed.”

And finally, Williams joins WCPS after serving as a student support lead teacher at John Wilson Elementary School.

She brings extensive experience in supporting students with literacy and social-emotional learning needs and is recognized as a collaborative educator and strong instructional leader.

She also graduated from the Chinook’s Edge Aspiring Leadership Program and is currently completing her Master of Education in Educational Leadership.

Other educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join Wolf Creek Public Schools and Ponoka Elementary School,” said Williams. “I look forward to working with the school community to support student learning, well-being, and success.” Williams lives in Lacombe with her family and is excited to begin this new chapter with WCPS.
