Rebels select forward Danny Ramazanov 17th overall in WHL Prospects Draft

The Red Deer Rebels have selected forward Danny Ramazanov with the 17th overall selection in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.

The Saskatoon product, who stands five feet nine inches tall and 155 pounds, led the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 prep team this season in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League with 26 goals and 32 assists for 58 points in 29 games. He added eight points in six games at the prestigious John Reid Memorial tournament.

The 14-year-old, who shoots left, also added six points in four playoff games.

During the 2024-25 season, Ramazanov scored 74 points in 29 games as a member of the U15 AA Saskatoon Generals.
