Special weather bulletin for Red Deer

Red Deer and area should brace for some snow Thursday night, Friday and into Saturday morning.

Per Environment and Climate Change Canada:

“Bands of heavy snow are possible tonight, overnight, and Saturday morning, with rapid accumulation in some areas and reduced visibility. Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate rapidly, with visibility reduced in some areas under heavy snow. Total snowfall accumulation will be highly variable, but some areas could receive up to 10 cm of snow quickly. Blowing snow is also possible tonight and Friday afternoon, reducing visibility. Be prepared for road conditions that can change and deteriorate rapidly.”

The forecast low overnight Thursday is -3, getting up to 0 degrees on Friday, and up to -1 on Saturday.
