Bulldogs tendy nets 2nd star of the week honours
Blackfalds Bulldogs goaltender Oliver Kiraly has been named the BCHL’s 2nd star of the week.
Per the BCHL:
“Király stopped 37 of the 38 shots he faced over the weekend to post a league-best .974 save percentage and a 0.51 goals-against average in his first two playoff starts, helping Blackfalds to a split against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.
“The 19-year-old only allowed one goal in Game 1 on Friday, but ended up taking the loss in a 1-0 final. The following night, Király stopped 29 of 29 shots to earn his first career playoff shutout in a 4-0 Bulldogs victory to even up the series at 1-1. He was named first star of the game. Including his regular season totals, it was his fifth shutout in 2025-26.
