Man arrested for second time in a month after alleged attack in Gasoline Alley

Mar 9, 2026 | 5:18 PM

A man already released on conditions from a recent alleged assault in Red Deer has been arrested again for an alleged incident in Gasoline Alley.

Blackfalds RCMP say they received a call on March 6 at 1:40 p.m. about a victim in hospital with serious injuries.

Investigation determined the victim had been assaulted at a home on Lake Street in the area of Liberty Landing.

The accused is alleged to have attacked the victim with an edged weapon. RCMP located the man the same day and arrested him.

Red Deer County resident, 29-year-old Jaydyn Lovelace, has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Failing to comply with release conditions.

Lovelace was brought before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for March 13, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.

Notably, Lovelace was arrested shortly after an alleged incident on Feb. 3 in downtown Red Deer. In that case, he is accused of shooting someone at close range with an airsoft gun. Last month, RCMP said he’d been released on conditions with a promise to appear in court on March 4, two days before his most recent arrest.
