Few tickets remain for RDSO’s Bows & Holly show on Dec. 6

Youth orchestras, Christmas classics, and a world premiere performance — those and more are what you can expect at Bows & Holly, the upcoming show put on by the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra (RDSO).

The show goes Dec. 6 from the Red Deer Arts Centre.

It will be a special evening celebrating the spirit of the season, and uniting RDSO musicians with aspiring local players from the Rosedale Valley String Orchestra and the Red Deer Youth and Community Orchestra.

Repertoire includes beloved Christmas classics and Corelli’s famed Christmas Concerto, as well as a captivating world premiere of Music Director Claude Lapalme’s Fiddler of the Northern Lights, set to the delightful story by Natalie Kinsey-Warnock.

“Bows & Holly is a celebration of music across generations,” says Lapalme. “Sharing the stage with passionate young musicians from central Alberta’s community orchestras is the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season.”
