Oct 25, 2025 | 9:22 PM

The Red Deer Rebels had their three-game point streak snapped Saturday night, losing 2-1 at home against the Calgary Hitmen.

Red Deer was coming off a 5-2 win over Regina on Friday, and also played twice on the road Tuesday and Wednesday — that’s four games in five nights.

Calgary, meanwhile, hadn’t played since Sunday when they took down Spokane 5-0 at home.

Scoring summary

Red Deer drew first blood Saturday when Arjun Bawa (3rd) scored at 15:43 of the opening frame. Nolan Schmidt and Keith McInnis got the helpers.

At 6:01 of the second, Caine Wilke (4th) tied it up for Calgary on the power play, and Hunter Aura earned the assist.

Calgary’s Kale Dach (4th) put the Hitmen ahead at 11:03 of the second, and that would be all she wrote scoring-wise.

Aidan Hesse made 27 saves in a winning effort for Calgary, while Chase Wutzke stopped 18 of 20 for Red Deer.
