Ponoka green cart pick up schedule moves biweekly on Nov. 1
The Town of Ponoka announced that curbside green cart pickup will move to a biweekly schedule on November 1.
From then until April 2026, green carts will be picked up every two weeks as the town moves to its winter schedule.
As a reminder, the town said only compostable items can be placed in the bin, including kitchen food waste, coffee grounds, cooking oil, eggshells, poultry bones, shellfish, tea bags, certified compostable food containers, and leaves.
Any other items, such as plastics, recyclables, or household garbage, are prohibited from being put in the green cart.
