Soroptimist International of Central Alberta accepting applications for Spread your Wings award

Soroptimist International of Central Alberta says applications are now open to apply for the 2025 Spread your Wings Award.

People selected would win a $1,500 cash award and the deadline to apply is Sept. 15. To apply for the award, scan the QR code on the poster below.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must be an Indigenous woman and they may also be two spirit and gender diverse people who identify as a woman.

Applicants must also be entering or currently attending a high school equivalency, vocational, technical, undergraduate, or graduate degree program.

Soroptimist members or immediate family of members are not eligible to apply.

Soroptimist International of Central Alberta said they invest in women’s education because it transforms lives and communities.

This cash award is meant to help improve the winners education, skills and employment prospects. Recipients may use the award to offset costs associated with their education such as books, tuition or transportation.
