RCMP investigating vandalism in downtown Red Deer

Red Deer RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in a vandalism investigation in downtown Red Deer.

Mounties are looking for witnesses or anyone who may have video footage after police received reports of vandalism involving spray paint on Wednesday shortly after 4 a.m.

Police say the person or persons involved spray painted vehicles, buildings, and signs with graffiti.

A statue of Reverend Leonard Gaetz was also spray painted. According to the City of Red Deer website, Gaetz was one of the city’s founding fathers.
