Isley takes his talents to Virginia

Grande Prairie-born forward Jace Isley is on the move.

After moving between the Adirondack Thunder and South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL last season, he has signed a one-year deal with the Norfolk Admirals, the ECHL affiliate for both the Manitoba Moose and Winnipeg Jets.

The former Red Deer Rebel started his professional career in 2023, signing with the AHL’s Utica Comets before being sent to their ECHL affiliate in Adirondack; he then scored his first professional goal on November 10, an overtime winner against Norfolk.

During the 2024/2025 campaign, he put up five goals with 12 helpers for 17 points.

General Manager and Head Coach for the Admirals says, “Jace is ready for a huge breakout year.”

“He’s had multiple good years in the WHL and was always hard to play against in Adirondack and South Carolina. Jace will supply a sandpaper element and edge to his game, and is expected to put up points this year.”

Norfolk will next be back on the ice on October 24, as they host the Worcester Railers to open up the season.
