ParticipACTION Community Challenge is back, Red Deer looks to reclaim title of most active in Canada

Red Deer is once against vying to be Canada’s ‘Most Active City’ through the 2025 ParticipACTION Community Challenge.

Last year, Red Deer earned the title of Alberta’s most active city, losing out the national race to Hay River, NWT.

Red Deer was the Canadian winner for 2022, and was tops in Alberta in 2023.

In the spirit of getting people active, there are a few public engagements this month being put on by local organization Move Your Mood, in partnership with Recovery Alberta.

#2. Join the Mayor for a lunch walk and talk to close out the ParticipACTION challenge on June 25 from 12-1 p.m. The walk will start at City Hall Park and the Downtown Branch of Red Deer Public Library.
