Red Deer opens public washroom downtown again for the summer

A seasonal public washroom is returning to downtown Red Deer.
Following a four-year pilot project, the facility will be placed at 5031 50 Street, from May 5 to Oct. 15.
The facility houses two fully accessible stalls, operational from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. The washrooms are cleaned and maintained regularly by Downtown Business Association staff.
This partnership with the Downtown Business Association helps to reduce barriers and encourages residents and visitors to frequent downtown, the city says in a release.
