ENDED: Heavy police presence in Red Deer’s Kentwood area

UPDATE: RCMP say that as of 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, the heavy police presence has ended. They thank the public for its assistance.

Red Deer RCMP say that as of 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, they are looking for a suspect in the area of Kentwood.

A heavy police presence is in place.

The suspect is described as a male with red hair and bright red hoodie.

If seen, do not approach, and immediately contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-406-2200. Call 911 in the case of an emergency.

The RCMP ask the public to avoid this area as police carry out their work, and to not post pictures to social media.
