New trial dates set for Red Deer nurse practitioner accused of sexual assault

Feb 20, 2025 | 4:27 PM

New trial dates have been set for a nurse practitioner from Red Deer accused of sexual assault.

Christopher Moon Mah, 45, is scheduled for trial in Drumheller Court of Justice from Feb. 6-12, 2026.

He was previously found guilty of the charge in Drumheller Court of Justice on July 14, 2023, following his original trial on April 11 of that year. He was found not guilty, however, on a charge of extortion, while one count of criminal breach of trust was withdrawn.

Mah was to be sentenced in April 2024, but a mistrial of his matters was later declared on Sept. 19, 2024.

Mah was initially arrested and charged with sexual assault, extortion and breach of trust on Nov. 19, 2022.

It was on July 27, 2022, when Three Hills RCMP received a complaint and initiated an investigation regarding an alleged sexual assault. Mounties say the complainant reported that a Three Hills Nurse Practitioner had sexually assaulted her in exchange for prescription medication and money.
